In this 2-part workshop you will learn how to make a rosebud and rose from abaca silk. I will show you some flower-making techniques to make a realistic rose. The skills you learn over the two days can be applied to other flowers. I will also provide useful information, including a worksheet, supplier list, templates and tips. The price also includes the recordings of our Zoom workshop, and a catch-up Zoom session, where you can share your completed flower.
Includes a kit of materials

Kit Contains: templates, stiffened satin and silk, straw stiffener, silk thread, dyes, wire, cotton balls and tweezers. Click on the More Information tab for a complete list.
You will also need some basic flower-making tools:
- Heated tools: 10mm Ball, 20mm Ball and Knife / Arrow tool plus hotplate (or the equivalent set of electric tools)
- A hard pad and medium pad to shape the petals
- 1 or more Shading Brushes
- PVA or similar tacky water-based glue
